CHAPLAINCY
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Chaplaincy Service is a non-profit ministry, under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Management.
The Chaplaincy Service works as Reactive Responder on Call, and is proactively involved with or to the agencies and citizens of Anderson County.
The purpose of the Chaplaincy Program is to provide spiritual guidance and counseling to all members of the Law Enforcement Agencies of Anderson County, both sworn and civilian, and their families in time of need. Chaplains also assist Law Enforcement Officers and the people of the community through a field-service ministry and to provide guidance, counseling, and comfort in times of crisis.
The Chaplains of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office participate in activities such as emergency call outs, training sessions, hospital visits, devotionals, counseling for first responders and much more when needed by the Law Enforcement Agencies.
On average, the Chaplains of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office volunteer approximately 100 hours a month to serving the employees of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and the community when called upon.
